Description
Saul, a fanatical persecutor of Christians, is converted to Christianity by Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus. A dynamic scene is depicted with four individuals, three of whom are on horseback, seemingly caught in a dramatic and tense moment. The colors are vibrant, with a strong contrast between the warm reds and oranges of the background and the cool blues and greens of the foreground. The images are inspired by public domain black and white engravings by Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld (published in 1860).
